2. Bignose from the Pink Panther cartoons, aka "the white guy" or "the little man" as he's also sometimes called

In the early 70s, when the well known DePatie-Freleng cartoons (Pink Panther, the Inspector, the Ant and the Aardvark, etc.) were being compiled into a TV show by German ZDF, translator and voice director Eberhard Storeck came up with heaps of witty rhymes to go with all the originally silent Pink Panther cartoons, and a theme song called "Who wound the clock?" that would play at the end of every episode.
Both his rhymes and the song were so lovingly written that they became integral to the show, and to this day, most Germans can't imagine the Pink Panther as a silent cartoon.
