A wonderful song but not a great translation.
My comments/suggestions for changes:
1. "who knows when it will return." --> "who knows if it will return."
2. "Here comes the prince of Egypt" --> "Here comes the president of Egypt"
3. "oh how I rejoiced for him" --> "how I rejoiced for him for his arrival"
4. "there are pyramids in (our) eyes" --> "pyramids in (his) eyes"
5. "and we said let's complete (it)" --> "and we said let's make peace"
6. "and he then said (let's) advance," --> "and he then said 'let's go forward',"
7. "just go out from the territories." --> "just (you) withdraw from the territories."
8. "I look out of my window and muttered my prayer" --> "I look out of my window and murmur my prayer"
9. "more advocacy for wolf and lamb" --> "we will live (together) wolf and lamb"
10. "But in the meantime you keep"--> "But in the meantime don't take"
11. "by the palm of your hand" --> "your hand out of my hand"
12. "maybe a new day will come"-->"maybe a new day is coming"

Beautiful song. And I agree with all Jon Maresky's suggestions, plus I'd make the chorus more colloquial (h/t to Bob Marley +there's no reason to use the word, "better"):
And it will be better --> And it'll be all right.
it will be better, yes --> It'll be all right, yeah.
