It was a cold and black night when Sophie's child died. He was only seven and his name was Gabriel. She held him in her arms and looked to the stars and said, "What have you done, God? What have you done? Through this veil of tears, I see his face. In every child, in every place, And the cold, cold wind speaks his name, and says that Um to blame."

Sophie clenched her boy and kissed his cold, cold lips. The tears came crashing just like a river. She said, "Through this veil of tears I see your face, in every child in every place. And the cold, cold wind speaks your name, and says that I'm to blame. I miss your smile, I miss your tears, I miss your toes, I miss your ears, I miss your kiss and I miss your hiss. I miss your song."

In a church lay a small white coffin. In that coffin lay a boy. He was only seven. And his name was Gabriel. Gabriel's song was a song of life. A song of love. A song of joy. A song from a mother's baby boy.
