Death Makes The Artist

Only once I got to see my dream
I didn't feel the smallness under the stars
Once I got bars to my cradle
From there I'm writing a letter as a prisoner
My God, to you let me (be)come what my child takes me for*
In you, the beauty of the world
From which the death made me an artist
My God, to you let me (be)come what my child takes me for
Created my own heaven here
Let me get away

no offence, and since you are a native finnish speaker it seems weird for me to correct you, or add to your translation anyway...., but i believe the english translation of the title should be something like "Death makes the artist"...

Due to the asterisk (*) in the translation, I believe an explanation is left out. The line is actually quite interesting, as it is correctly translated but still seems weird. This is because the original line carries a double meaning (enhanced by a pause):

"Luojani, luoksesi anna minun tulla" = "God, to you let me come" (the curious word order is intentional)
"anna minun tulla siksi miksi lapseni minua luulee" = "let me become what my child thinks I am"

Just wanted to share this. :)

The original lyrics have separate verses now, so could you check your translation?
