I Want to Fall in Love

I can imagine but don't know how it feels
How the world stops when he caresses my skin
How the hands of the clock don't rotate if he's not present
They say that it's smooth, sweet, and flows like honey

How much time does it take
Or is it not for everyone?
Why does mine hide?
Where is he?
I want to love and give everything without thinking
I want my heart to exchange its place with someone special
I want to awaken, I want to find you, and I want to fall in love

I don't want to imagine, I want to know how it feels
How a kiss undresses my soul, and my feet tingle
His arms to be my coat in the cold of December
And in the summer days, together to see the sun be born

How much time does it take
Or is it not for everyone?
Why does mine hide?
Where is he?
I want to love and give everything without thinking
I want my heart to exchange its place with someone special
I want to awaken, I want to find you, and I want to fall in love

I want to love and give everything without thinking
I want my heart to exchange its place with someone special
I want to awaken, I want to find you, and I want to fall in love
I want to awaken, I want to find you, and I want to fall in love
I want to awaken, I want to find you, and I want to fall in love

Thanks for translating this song! Since I don't actually know much Spanish, it's a bit impudent of me to make all these suggestions, but I hope some of them may be helpful :)

Shouldn't it be "I can imagine but don't know how it [love] feels"?

Is it perhaps "How the world stops... How the hands of the clock..."?

Shouldn't it be "They say that it's [love is] smooth..."

"How much time does it take" sounds more like asking how long being in love lasts or how much time it takes to fall in love. Isn't it more something like "How much longer must I wait" (before love comes to me)? Or "How much longer will it take?"

I can't figure out how to put this in English without it sounding stiff and awkward, but I think you left out the "el de": "I want my heart to trade places with the heart of someone special." Maybe a little more freely: "I want to trade hearts with someone special."

Since I don't think the "you" is there in the original, how about "I want to awaken, I want to discover, and I want to fall in love"?

Again, "...how it feels," "How a kiss undresses my soul"?

Shouldn't it be "and makes my feet tingle"?

I don't think "to be" is a good translation of "ser" here, you need some kind of subjunctive, because I think it's still another dependent clause referring to that first "Que." How about: [How]"His arms serve as my coat in the cold of December/And in the days of summer, together we see the sun born"?

Thanks for your suggestions! I agree that it would make more sense to say "it" instead of "he", and while using que as "that" works here, I think that "how" makes more sense.
