Music only if it's loud
Click to see the original lyrics (German)
She's sitting on her window pane all day
Lets her legs hang down to the music
The noise from her room makes all neighbours sick
She's inspired, smiling happily
She doesn't know that the snow silently falls on the ground
Doesn't hear the knocking on the wall
She likes music only if it's loud
That's all she hears
She likes music only if it's loud
If it's driving into her stomach
She likes music only if it's loud
If the floor shakes under her feet
Then she forgets that she is deaf
The man of her dreams must be a bassman
The tickeling in her belly drives her crazy
Her mouth seems to scream silently form sheer happiness
Her eyes are entranced from this world
Her hands don't know who to talk to
There's nobody here who would talk to her
She likes music only if it's loud
That's all she hears
She likes music only if it's loud
If it's driving into her stomach
She likes music only if it's loud
If the floor shakes under her feet
Then she forgets that she is deaf

"That's all she hears" => "That's all she can hear" (the difference is important).
"She doesn't know that the snow silently falls on the ground" => "She doesn't know snow falls without a sound".
Word order is important because "without a sound" carries the emphasis. The present translation just means "she doesn't know it's snowing right now".
