Tiempo de nísperos
Original lyrics
Translation
Orfidal y caballero
Orfidal and Gentleman
Don't shout if upon waking up
You see my gaze lost in the air
Don't get scared if when you go to hug me
You feel the cold, you're not hugging anyone
At the end you'll realise
At the end you'll notice
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
Behind yesterday's laughter and jokes
Is only hiding the biggest sorrow
Jokes and laughter to bring
Pain and misery, surely later
At the end you'll realise
At the end you'll notice
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
Tomorrow you'll think that you could change me
You'll try to make me happy
Others already tried it before
And in the end they had to give up
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
I am a sad man
Sad, truly sad
Sad, truly sad
Sad, truly sad
Sad, truly sad

What is "orfidal"? I don't know that word in either language. I think there is a medication named like that.
If you post the video, perhaps we could figure it out.
I couldn't find an official video on YouTube so I didn't post one. Orfidal is indeed a medication, a tranquilizer used to treat anxiety and nervousness .
What does it do in this song?
Well, I guess it just reinforces the idea of how sad and miserable the man is. He is absent, cold and in pain, therefore using tranquilisers.
