You have dresed, undressed, raised me
And we've moved, I've lied to you!
I do not take drugs
And I was in school, too
You've often wondered what is my tears
I did not want you to know it
You were alone at home, missed me
And asked yourself what you're still for me
And asked yourself what you're still for me
You are still my home,
You are always my home
You've picked up and brought me
Woke up in the middle of the night because of me
I've often thought about it lately
We were in Prague, Paris and Vienna
In Britain and Berlin, but not in Copenhagen
You've often wondered what is my tears
I stopped to ask myself about that
You were alone at home, missed me
And asked yourself what you're still for me
And asked yourself what you're still for me
You are still my home,
You are always my home
I have no home, I have only you
You are home forever and for me
You are home forever and for me
You are home forever and for me
You are home forever and for me
You are home forever and for me
You are home forever and for me
Have no homeland, I have only you
You are home forever and for me

Translations of "Oft gefragt"
Comments
big mistake in the second line of #1: "umgezogen" in this context means "moved", like moving from one city to another... And the refrain can be translated like there, but as far as I understand that song, the songwriter meant, that "you are still my home, you are always my home" - they moved and traveled around a lot, so his mam or dad ("you") is the only thing he can relate as home. There is no "home land" he can refer as home, there is just the person he relates as "you", which (so I guess while reading the lyrics) sounds pretty like to be his Mom / single parent (e.g. "you dressed, undressed, raised me").
