Pirlere niyaz ederiz

We would pray to the Pirs (Patriarchs)
Its a fake world, what can we do (for this)?
We would die, (and) we would go (to the other world) with longing
Show that face (of God) to me

Ya Hak! Ya Hû! (o God!, o God!)

God is one, Muhammad, Ali
At least, look at me (to my heart)
For the sake of the greatness of the greatness (for God)
...

Ya Hak! Ya Hû! (o God!, o God!)

We would pray to the Pirs (Patriarchs)
Its a fake world, what can we do (for this)?
We would die, (and) we would go (to the other world) with longing
Show that face (of God) to me

Ya Hak! Ya Hû! (o God!, o God!)

Kalender* would cry and repent
He would languish/suffer for the dream of love (of God's love)
The head of angels in heaven would show himself
That beauty's height (of God)

Ya Hak! Ya Hû! (o God!, o God!)

We would pray to the Pirs (Patriarchs)
Its a fake world, what can we do (for this)?
We would die, (and) we would go (to the other world) with longing
Show that face (of God?) to me

Author's comments:

Kalender means anyone who lives chastely.
This is an ethnic-chant of Turkish Alevi Muslims.
The song is a kind of orisons of the pleasure of seeing God's face in the afterlife. True believers who follow the commandments of God in this world have been gifted to see the face of God in the hereafter (in the belief of Alevi Islam).
