See the lights

We can see the lights. Don't cry anymore.

I recite “I never lose my way”
I recite “I never lose my way”
I recite “I never lose my way”
I recite “I never lose my way”

We can see the lights. Don't cry anymore.

We can see the lights. Don't cry anymore.

Translation

See the lights

The moment, my breath stops, "It would be great if time could go back just like this"
These thoughts are the remains of your love, aren't they?

Spinning irresponsible words
I don't know anything, but I see you and think

Don't blame yourself, don't blame yesterday
Things like, how much of that was lies, or about the distance between us

I'd noticed a while ago
I couldn't do anything, sorry
But those words aren't much

The things you left in this world
The things you saw in this world
I saw them at your side, right?
It's ok, I've known for a long time

The moment, my breath stops, "It would be great if time could go back just like this"
These thoughts are the remains of your love, aren't they?
To the time I spent with you: "Thank you." Those words flow out of me
We can see the lights. Don't cry anymore.

What is the point of turning back?
Or even the meaning of seeing tomorrow

I recite “I never lose my way”
I recite “I never lose my way”
I recite “I never lose my way”
I recite “I never lose my way”

The moment, my breath stops, "It would be great if time could go back just like this"
These thoughts are the remains of your love, aren't they?
The path you chose, you'll have lots of friends with you
We can see the lights. Don't cry anymore.

To the time I spent with you: "Thank you." Those words flow out of me
We can see the lights. Don't cry anymore.

I have a question, under what context does the song happen? A separation of love or death?

That's a good questions, and to be honest I'm not entirely sure myself. I think when I first translated it I assumed that "息を止め" or what I've translated as "my breath stops" (but could maybe possibly be translated as "Stop, breath" or "Stop your breathing", since the subject isn't clearly stated -- often the problem when translating from Japanese to English) wasn't literal. So I was thinking more along the lines of a separation of love perhaps. And the singer is trying to see the meaning in moving forward while reconciling his lingering feelings and thoughts for his love.
But as you've mentioned, it could be the separation of death if that "breath stops" line IS literal. That seems like a valid interpretation too. I don't really know which is more correct!

Thanks for your answer nmuth, i actually started to think that may be a separation of death because of the part you translate as: "The things you saw in this world", and "The things you left in this world" but those two can be interpreted in two different ways, and again, thanks :)
