"Once in the evening I was sad" - тут Вы настаиваете на точности перевода или "Once in evening I sad at home" режет ухо?
"And at the same time I washed myself" - тут подумаю как "myself" в ритм уложить.
Слово "godfather" означает "крестный", а в частушке речь идет о "куме". С Вашего позволения я оставлю свой вариант.

Once in evening I sad at home - doesn't make any sense. Она сидела вечером дома или грустила? Once, in the evening, I was sad. Once in the evening I was seating at home. Also, "кум" - is the godfather. That's how the Russian language experts explaining the meaning of that word.

Да, кум - это крестный отец, но крестная мать не станет называть его крестный. А так получится, что героиня пригласила в баню своего крестного отца...
