I’ve adopted some of your comments, does it sounds better now?

I translated this song just because the other translation was soooooo bad, I felt sorry for Russian language being mutilated so badly
And of course, i’ve heard and sang this song so many times

Anyway, the golden thing - I always imagined that the boat was painted in gold.. it’s a color of happiness, good feelings, etc.
I don’t see any other means here

I can change the order of words; to me, it sounds fine either way because how it is in Russian

And about dead trees - they are already dead, it happened in the past, not sure what is the problem?
