Здорово! Поэтично и смысл передан. Спасибо! :)
Единственное, что на мой взгляд вытарчивает это "A new day will light up in boroughs." Но я не мог придумать ничего лучшего, как ни пытался (строго говоря, вообще ничего!). Ваш второй вариант перевода этой песни мне нравится меньше. Этот лучше!

Спасибо огромное за оценку! Хотя с художественной точки зрения, думаю, тут масса проблем. Перевод Ru-En без сомнения требует знания языка до мелочей. И что касается указанной строчки, совершенно согласна, голову я с ней тоже поломала. Все-таки boroughs -это больше районы, чем города. Может, осенит меня когда-то и поправлю ее. Еще раз благодарю за теплые слова. Приятно. :) Второй вариант не мой.

А пропеть как? Ритм хромает. :)
Но идея подтолкнула меня вот к чему: если в этой строчке важен факт прихода нового дня (а не то, куда именно он пришел), тогда, может быть:
New day is knocking at the door
:)

Отлично! Меняю строчку на предложенный вариант. Такого рода переводы предполагают некоторые отклонения от оригинального текста. Поэтому ничего страшного нет в том, что не будет сказано о городах, в которые этот новый день приходит. Спасибо за помощь!
Олег, у меня вопрос: вы обнаружили, что нельзя пропеть именно эту строчку или что-то еще? Вроде бы я ранее смотрела, и все сходилось.

Don't want to be too picky ☺But if you insist... in "a wintry" I would drop an "a". It adds up an extra syllable.
And another one: "heavy sky" can be "empty sky", just like in russian.
But all that is soooo insignificant. The song is already good as it is.

Thank you very much for your opinion. Naturally,I'll listen to you. I'm ready to change "heavy" to "empty". I had my doubts whether it is possible to save "empty". As for "a wintry", the rules of English grammar require the presence of articles - "a", "an" or "the",don't they? But if it's possible to drop "a" here, I'm glad to do it.I thank with all my heart for your participation. ☀

Now, about the article "a":
Of course, the rules of English grammar require the presence of an article here. However... I talked with a guy today. He's a native English speaker. Explained the concern and asked him if his ear would catch this little flaw in the text of a song. He said that yes, it would. But since we are dealing here with a song, with an art(!), if a song's music requires, it's OK to drop an "a".
But the bottom line, Lena, - if it bothers you, - hey, you are the boss! Put it back then as it was! (unintended rhyme, maybe caught it from you! :bigsmile: )
Like I said before, I like the song with or without the "a" :)
Tried pressing "Thank you" button again now - it really doesn't change the counter :)
