Ой чи є, чи нема Пан Господар вдома. Древня українська щедрівка. Oj čy je, čy nema Pan Hospodar vdoma (Hey, is there or not Lord Housemaster at home). Traditional Ukrainian New Year’s carol (shchedrivka). Щедрі́вка — українська обрядова пісня. Співається на Новий рік, після Різдва та під час Йордану в Щедрий Вечір, із щедрими побажаннями врожаю, здоров'я і достатку на майбутній рік. Щедрівки співали окремо господареві, господині, хлопцеві, дівчині, усій родині.
Ukrainian shchedrivkas (with abundant wishes, separately to housemaster, housewife, son, daughter or the entire family) are sang on Ukrainian Old New Year (January 14th) and on the Abundant Evening (Shchedryj Vechir) which is the Eve of Lord’s Baptism Day (falls on January 19th in Ukraine). Carol of the Bells is also originally Ukrainian shchedrivka, just as the one presented here.
