Stăm la un loc, ca acuma,

În iarnă părem,
Cum rar se arată,
O haită de lupi
De sânge-nsetată
Ce urlă flamânzi
La luna din ceață
Și bântuie cruzi
Pădurea de gheață.
Prada stârnim, cerbul noaptea
Dar ocolim oare moartea?
Cel care de cerb lovit a căzut
Cu toții ştim bine-atunci e pierdut.
În grabă cerbul scăpat vom lăsa
Pe-al nostru ranit îl vom sfârteca.

A pack of wolves
Blood-thirsty
That howl hungry
