Mistake: "аж за край" іs an idiom. Means "...so much / ...too much" (Too sad...)

Hi again, Steve. You have misunderstood few words and some lines. Alex is right. It,so sad, it's overflowing. Something like that. Also " Why are crying, rather then, " why are you not crying. It's a big difference. " A drop of grief won't pour" It doesn't make sense at all. What it's mean is: The drop of grief won't drown , or one drop won't take away the grief, so pour some more. In Ukrainian and also in Russian language, we use expression " Давай зальем горе" It means, let's drink, till it goes away. Let's drown our sorrow, in English. I hope, that I've made some sense.

Thanks, I misread it and didn't notice, your right. It's amazing what a comma in the right place can do to change the meaning!
if you read it as : kraplya, - horya ne...
or : Kralya horya, - ne...
How is the fourth line to be understood? I don't understand: ... tilky zalyshy - JUST LEAVE IT or is it: TO LEAVE ME ALONE? or is it JUST LEAVE: ... One kalyna ...
is it: take away, WHAT YOU WANT... or take away, WHAT DO YOU WANT ...
would : "sad,so sad too much to bear" ... work? literal translation is not fully understood in english. What's overflowing? Her sadness, or ability to endure it?
is she looking for a path to go home ALONE or BY HERSELF? or go home MYSELF? or to RETURN HOME?
What dose it mean: to go beyound the horizon? Sorry for the questions, this one's tough! Thanks
"JUST LEAVE: ... One kalyna ..." will do.
"take away, WHAT YOU WANT... or take away, WHAT DO YOU WANT ..." - where is that??
"sad,so sad too much to bear" - for me it works...
Sadness is overwhelming her.
"Стежина йде до дому" is also like an idiom. It shouldn't be translated literally. Actually it is "a path that leads her to home BY ITSELF" or to be more precise and understandable: "ALL SHE NEEDS to get home is to follow that path" (that's why "йшла САМА". So, track "goes" (actually it "leads") but all you need to get home is to "follow it".
"to go beyound the horizon" - use your imagination: you see the horizon, but you can never get it. "To go beyond it" means literally: "to go far far away, to the place, that you cannot see from here"

I don't actually know :) have no idea... Women's soul is a great mistery... (Or perhaps I'm too young to understand that) ;)
"Так чого ж ти плачеш"
..."Так" is not "yes" here, but rather "but why(?)"

I see it's to be read as: TAK CHOHO, TY not as: TAK, CHOHO TY
Exactly!
The last refrain:
...play....
ABOUT that kalyna... and so on...

I see, it's not that she needs to walk it alone, but that the path, alone, is enough to get her home. It's the path that goes home not her. I think that the begins with an assumption that, as an outsider, I'm not aware of.
Up to you! The only man who knows the exact meaning is the author of that lyrics :)
"Hey, why are you crying?"
"One drop (of alcohol) won't take away the grief" - is the exact meaning.

"Just leave" doesn't mean "leave it" but "leave it FOR US (for us to have it)"

Why "one family round about the table"? You don't need the word " about" there. Why not: one family around the table. In Russian: Одна ( единая) родня(семья) вокруг стола. It's precisely what is written in Ukrainian.

It's there to fit it to the music ,clumsy tho,
One family all around the table - would work!
Thanks, this song was tough!

The kalyna is the symbol of Ukraine. In spring, it is covered with white flowers - innocence, purity. In the fall it is bent over, heavy laden with a red, bitter berry - burdened with trouble, grief.
It is the high bush cranberry.
One kalyna, one people, one family, one nation!
