On Fire
Why scream and shout when everyone's unhearing
To what we have to say...
It seems to me, we're not among the living,
Ignited, we burn down and fade away.
When we are many, we're enough to strike a spark,
And little towns resemble incinerators in the dark.
And they choose not to notice, feel and put in doubt,
When everyone's unhearing, why'd you scream and shout?
Could be a silent crowd, a roaring choir,
To run or to stand proud, it feels like we're on fire.
A whale can't rip the net however hard it tries.
Give up or not just yet, it feels like we're on fire.
And once again, the sky's the one to take command
Of all the words and lines.
And once again, the sky is just about to send
The rain and guiding signs.
And should you ever feel you have it figured out,
And this awakening make you want to scream and shout,
Go on, and scream, some may not get what that's about.
It's in their mold they'll never break to live without.
