Per our Lyrics Formatting Guidelines, anything that is not actually part of the lyrics must not be added in the text, as it messes up the subtitles. Please, take the time to read them carefully.
Beside that, the lyrics were really messy and I don't reckon the format they had before was any more clear than the one currently displayed.

I didn't receive a notification about this comment and couldn't remember in which song I wrote a comment.
It's not about being clear, it's simply that we now miss a piece of information about the song, namely who sings which part, which is important in the plot (it's implied that the two different characters sing the two different parts, which overlap more or less all across the song, with sometimes different lines within the same stanza, hence why I couldn't simply add the information between square brackets).
Aside from that, the only thing I did wrong was to use a "x2" instead of doubling the stanza.
