My opinions:
- "Mãe carinhosa" may be either "caring mother" or "loving mother".
- "this rough soil" is better "this wounded land" (Cape Verde usually suffers from droughts).
- "mornim" is the diminutive of "morno", therefore means "warm" in English. Change "smooth" to "warm" or "friendly".
- Change "We're feeling you, your tenderness" to "We feel your tenderness".
- In "E por isso qu'ess'nossa amor", the first word (letter) should be "É" ("it is") instead of "E" ("and"), therefore: "This is why our love".
- "qui ja volta cheio d'ansiedade" means "who already returned full of anxiety (or eagerness)".
- As I said in other comment, I'm not sure about "acaiento"; it seems she sings something similar to "acalente", which would be translated as "tenderness, cherishing, or nurturing".
