Translation

Our Father

Zurich German (Züritüütsch):

Our father in heaven!
Help that we care for your name.
Take care that your empire come.
Make it that your will happens,
not only in heaven, also on earth.
Give us today our bread(,)
which we need everyday.
And forgive us everything of which we remained guilty,
the same as we have forgiven those
who owe us something.1
And don't make us doubt you,
no, protect us against what is evil.2

Bernese German (Bärndütsch):

Our father in heaven!
Make it that your name gets kept holy,
Make it that your empire comes to us.
Let here on earth your will happen,
as it happens in heaven.
Give us today our bread for tomorrow.
And forgive us our guilt;
we know, our debtors are forgiven, too.3
Don't put us to the test;
but protect us against what is evil.2

Alsatian (Elsässischs Alemannisch):

Our father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name
your empire shall come
You will shall happen,
as in heaven, so on earth.
Our daily bread give us today,
and forgive us our guilt
as we also have forgiven those
who have become guilty towards us.
And don't lead us into temptation,
but redeem us of what is evil.2

Alsatian (Elsässischs Alemannisch):

Our father who is in heaven
Holy be your name
Your empire shall come
Your will shall happen
As in heaven, so also on earth
our daily bread give us today
and forgive us our guilt
as we, too, forgive those who are guilty towards us4
and don't let us get into temptation,
but free us of all that is bad.
Amen.
