Was actually gonna post it up the other night, but I wasn't aware of this version.

This was the other one I found:

@SilentRebel83: I haven't watched Attack on Titan myself so far but I heard much about it.
My Japanese isn't good enough to understand the text of that other version.
The first line means "they are the food and we are are the hunters".

I speak german and while I can't argue its accuracy as it is very accurate it is very stiff and formal.

Your judgement of the style of the English version is correct, but you know, it's the theme song to an anime, so what do you actually expect? "Der innerer Reichtum der Leute ist/wie Licht bunt, durch Farbglas hereinzuscheinen" doesn't sound like anything a native speaker of German would be very likely to say. If anything, Sciera's translation probably sounds too much like English and not enough like Engrish ;)

Du müsstest ja Deutsch verstehen also werd ich es nun mal in meiner Muttersprache schreiben.
Du hast es wirklich gut übersetzt (:
Aber: Der Liedsänger selbst singt grammatikalisch wahnsinnig falsches Deutsch. "Der innerer Reichtum" würde in korrektem Deutsch ja zum Beispiel "Der innere Reichtum heißen"

Ich habe erst nach einer Weile verstanden, dass das was die Sängerin singt überhaupt Deutsch ist XD

Nun, Deutsch ist meine Muttersprache, wie du in meinem Profil sehen kannst. Dass der Text in sehr brüchigem Deutsch ist, habe ich ja bereits im "submitter's comment" angedeutet, und auch fulicasenia ist kurz darauf eingegangen. Aber ich denke, ich werde dennoch alles verstanden haben.
