Thanks Details:
Hi, I have some suggestions for you to improve your translation.
Bites his lips to be strong --- Bites her lips to be strong (In reference to the girl from the previous line).
If will pay you for making you suffer, you would be a millionaire --- If he's paid to make you suffer, he'd be a millionaire (Correct pronoun is "he").
Serve me another --- Pour me another one (in reference to the drinks).
It already has the little trick to convince you --- He already has the little trick (This is a null-subject in Spanish but in English the subject should be "he" instead of "it").
It has a face to buy you with details --- He dares to buy you with details ("Tiene cara" means to dare).
And a lip --- And a talk (In reference to the way this guy speaks).
No need to use the blank spaces for the curse words since they are allowed here. Also, these words are needed for the highly informal register of the translation.
Cierto, cierto, Geborgenheit. Entonces sería "If he's paid for your suffering", ¿o qué sugerencia tienes?
Sí, es que a esta hora ya tengo la mente saturada con las traducciones, jaja. Gracias por tu sugerencia, Geborgenheit 😊
the pronoun would actually be "she" cause it's referred to the girl best friend for the millionaire part
anyway, the other seems right, but this is my first translation
I just tried to do it
I am also trying to set a family-friendly content for English speaking kids
So please, I appreciate the help, but no thanks.
As a native Spanish speaker, I'm making sure the translations from Spanish to English are correct. Then I guess this site is not for you because we mostly help each other out. No need to be rude when a native is kindly giving you suggestions to improve your translation.
It was not my intention to be rude.
I just took it as an insult to me
Therefore, I got offended
I know I am not native in your language for I am still learning
I appreciate your points
I just felt embarrassed that's all.
I've never tried to make you feel bad or anything. I'm just pointing out aspects that could be better in your translation.
Don't ever feel embarrassed, we all make mistakes and we're here to learn from each other.
No need to be offended or embarrassed. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with a correction, as long as you know what you are talking about and address your disagreement respectfully.
However when a native Spanish speaker like Anto takes time to help improve your translation, it's best to be more appreciative instead of automatically getting defensive. Anto is clearly very proficient in English and in fact is a professional translator. So I hope you can keep that in mind in the future.
Thank you for your understandings.
Also, for your pointers.
