English
Translation

God, you take my life

God, take my life
I offer myself to you now
And I shall everyday
Cherish your name

God, you use my hands
To help the people
And you use my feet
So that I may bring your words
God, you use my voice
So that I may praise you all the time
And you use my mouth
So that I may tell your words

You make my thoughts
Strong with you all the time
You are my only king
May your reign last forever

God, I love you so much
Be my king for ever
All the things I possess
I give them to you now

Hello, regarding "rul long laef blong yu", I was thinking something along "may you reign (rul / rule) forever" or something of the sort. litteraly "please you rule long life". It also resonates with "Please be my king forever" in the next verse.

Makes sense ?

Oui, tout à fait, c'est probablement ce que signifie ce vers un peu étrange... C'est en tout cas beaucoup mieux que ma propre interprétation ! Merci !

"Plis yu rul long laef blong yu"

"May all my life be in your service"...?

It would totally make sense if it were "Plis yu rul long laef blong mi" I guess.
