Translation

Empty Hole

My ears are connected
I can hear the buzz from outside
The acid rain made the flowers die

The flowers that were to bloom tomorrow, died
Everything's just meaningless
Because we're always asking just for a meaning
The black kite screams somewhere in the mountain
And because I can't return, I cry

My longing looks like trash
I was being fascinated becuase it's distant
My longing is to rush to a train
An hang with my head in shame

Despair and you, are side by side
Desperation is right behind us
And our emptiness embarks together
With our long past happiness, that was in a station before

The more empty you are, the more poems you want to write
That is true, that is really true

I don't say things like "I'm hurt"
But it doesn't mean I don't have pain
There aren't good and gentle people
They're have only been disarmed in this empty hole

We ended up dying by the roadside
Even though we will forget those times
"We're believing" too "I love you" too
Rolling up these ornaments in this empty hole

The feeling of doing nothing doesn't go
There is nothing I'd like to do
I will not revise my own actions
I will not take any responsibilities

People I've met are long gone from my memories
But I don't forget these forgotten meetings
Our dead beloved one's souls are living with us
In other words we were being haunted

Let's hum around the transmission tower in the empty field
The songs that overflowed in our dreams

The ones that do not want to die
Persecuted the ones that wanted to
The next day of a certain convienience store
The machine guns are out of store in this empty hole

I can't gather your bones
In the end, we spend a whole life
Just to fulfill these "missions"
That can't be true in this empty hole

We don't even have the ability to prevent things from leaving them
We sing this stupid whining
Recently, in this town, many whinings roll around
Even that, and everybody
This town is hollow, with a huge hollowness
The roadside's ditch, the vending machine's side, the laughing throat, your feet

Dreams, hope, and grudges too
"I want to meet you" too "Drop dead!" too
In this stuffed fire-bomb
Serves just right this world in this empty hole

The dead people in the burnt out area
Ending with a happily ever after
It's ok if it's that way, but even so
We've grown attached to all of that in this empty hole

Thanks for translating this song. But, I actually found quite a few places where I think the translation could be improved. It's kind of a long list, so bear with me:

"Even though my ears are cold"
- The character used isn't 寒い but 塞ぐ, which means to plug up.

"The flowers that could bloom tomorrow died"
- I think "would have" or "were going to" would fit better than "could." In this sentence はず implies that something was supposed to happen, but didn't.

"And whilst I can't return, I cry"
- Here, the line is saying that he cries "because" he can't return (not just that he cries while he can't return).

"My longing looks like thrash"
- I have a feeling you meant to write "trash."

"My longing is to rush to a train
And stay with my head almost not capable of standing"
- I believe this pair of lines is using a metaphor. The desires are rushing to catch a train (which is his head), because they couldn't bear to wait until the next chance.

"Despair is right behind us"
- You used "despair" in the previous line, so maybe "desperation" or something similar would work better here.

"And our emptiness longs to embark together"
- 乗り合わせ simply means to ride together, even by coincidence.

"With our long past happiness"
- Here, I think he's just saying that he missed the "happiness" stop, sticking with the metaphor.

"The feeling of doing nothing doesn't wake"
- Here, what he's saying is that he doesn't feel like doing anything.

"I will not check myself"
- 反省 is more about reflecting on your own actions, not really about "checking yourself."

"I will not grasp my responsibilities"
- 責任を取る means to take responsibility, not only to grasp one's responsibilities.

"People already forgot that they were divided"
- Here, 別れる means "to part," meaning that he's already forgotten about the people he's parted ways with.

"But I don't forget forgotten things"
- This line means that he remembers that he's forgotten them, even though he can't remember who he's forgotten.

"Our dead souls are living"
- I think he means that we live with the souls of the dead.

"Persecuted that ones that wanted to"
- I think you meant "the" instead of "that."

"This life's use is to fulfill
This is called a mission"
- Here, he's using a pun to say that duties (使命) are things meant to use up one's entire life (命を使い果たす) in order to fulfill them.

"Such simplicity in this empty hole"
- The expression そんな訳ねえよ means "there's no way that's true."

"We don't even have the ability to leave things behind"
- Not the "ability to leave things behind," but the "ability to prevent things from leaving them."

"In this new metropolis, many popular songs roll around"
- Not metropolis, just some city/town. Here, 最近 means "recently." Similarly, those "popular songs" are the whining he just mentioned in the previous line.

"If it's like that, it's ok, but even so"
- Here, he's saying that it would be nice if things actually turned out that way.

And done. Sorry there are so many things, but I thought it might help you understand the lyrics a bit better. Again, thanks for taking time to translate this song.

First of all, sorry for such a wrong translation in some parts, and thanks for taking the time to correcting me
And second of all, I was kind of sleepy, and my keyboard is now pretty shit, so I could produce some hideous errors in spelling and gramatics, so thanks for pointing it out
And third of all, I'll be correcting it ASAP

Also, it's cool, I admire your work as a translator here, I just do this because I love the band, the more correct, the better

A bit late, but as I go through translating this song myself. I realized I mistakenly read the "垂れた" in "いたたまれなく頭を垂れた" as "乗れた." Instead, that line is indeed about hanging one's head in shame. A bit of misreading on my part, sorry.
