(Spelling mistakes in the Swedish original:
- spådd > spått
- deres sönar > deras söner
- 1. a. b. Obviously, the lion from the North=Gustavus Adolphus/Gustav II Adolf (Swedish) and the eagle=Emperor Ferdinand III of the Holy Roman Empire. Good versus evil, Protestants versus Catholics.
- 2. "Yellow and blue" refers to the colours of the Swedish flag. It was used already back then.
- 3. The chorus (Gustavus Adolphus! / Libera et impera...") is in Latin in the original except for some words in the parantheses. Note the difference.

Liberia imperia could be somebody's wishful thinking ( Liberia Empire, in Hebrew, transliterated).
Libera, impera is Latin and the translator definitely says it in his remarks, perhaps not going into details for every instance.
Or you have translation to Swedish (I presume) in submitter's remarks.

Corrected and more proper translation of #1. Feel free to comment if there's something wrong or anything else you're thinking about. Since there is an official version of this song in English, here's a semi-literal translation. I've tried to keep the word order - which may sound old-fashioned - as the Swedish original is not written in modern Swedish either. People don't speak, nor write this way. It is of course deliberately used by Sabaton as the song tells of historical events. As I've just learned how to make footnotes, I will perhaps add more in the future. Enjoy!
