In Romanian there is a saying that goes like this "nu mor caii când vor câinii", and it roughly means "horses won't die just because the dogs want them to". In this case, "not all horses die when we want them to" means that life has a way of its own, it doesn't care what we wish for. Same for the sun, who waits for no one and doesn't linger up in the sky, no matter how much we want it to.
