The title of this duet is "Canzonetta sull'aria" in English "Little song upon the tune".
One does not have to be a prisoner to be dumbfounded by the sheer beauty of this music. Nor does one have to know the meaning of the Italian words (Andy didn't). But since this is Lyrics Translate, I've made an attempt.
The countess dictates a little note to Susanna, her lady's maid, to invite the Count to a secret rendez-vous in the gardens. The note is part of a devious scheme. After a lot of entanglements they succeed: Love conquers.
