A light twinkles on top of the holy mountain
I’ve fallen into trouble (over God/ religion or him) and become an ashik
My white wheat-faced, with entangled tresses
I’ve split, I’ve become a pen, a writer
I have trouble over such a snob
Oy, it’s mine, the wound is mine
Oh I’m leaving, you go cry now quick
Sob your heart out
I couldn’t make him come down from the holy mountain
I couldn’t turn his way to mine
I couldn’t persuade a beloved
I’ve split, I’ve become a pen, a writer
I have trouble over such a snob
Oy, it’s mine, the wound is mine
Oh I’m leaving, you go cry now quick
Sob your heart out

La Russie a lancé une guerre honteuse contre l’Ukraine. Soutenez l’Ukraine !
The song lyrics were written by a Yörük Turk (nomad) woman who was legally blind. Her and her family had embraced islam and practiced alevite islam (islam with turkic pagan beliefs), but her lover wouldn't embrace islam since he couldn't come down the 'holy' mountain, mountain being holy in tengrist religion. She saw the 'light' the way to God after she had fallen into coma and when she woke up from it, she became an 'ashik' (a folk poet/ bard who sings about legends, real life struggles and the love for God)
