In the house
They lived in our downstairs, the woman and her baby
he went away by the window and he come in the morning
the woman had brown sandals and a shirt with balls
I saw, she kissed a man on the road and the man caressed her baby and smiled
I listen in the stairs
in the front of their door
and the cried to her
cried to her
mom layed the boy in the kidcar, she come never back
at this evening, I heard a lonly heart beat
I listen in the stairs
in the front of their door
and the cried to her
cried to her
many weeks, nobody cried or walked away
I found some old CDs in the recycling bin, she listend to them alone
because the men had poems on the skin and he dreamed of his boy
he leaved always the door open and the lights on
I listen in the stairs
in the front of their door
and the cried to her
cried to her
I listen in the stairs
in the front of their door
and the cried to her
cried to her

I think it isn't clear from the translation, that the baby is in her belly-in other words, she's pregnant
Thanks for the translation, I've been looking forward to finding out what it means :)
I'm a bit confused as to whether there's one or two men in the story: did she leave her partner or cheat on him? I get that the way it's described is no doubt vague in Finnish, but in case it makes more sense in the original language, could someone summarise the story briefly? Thanks.
It seems, that the woman was bearing a child-but not her husband's. It is mentioned, that she meets another man in the street and kisses him. Then.later on the woman abandons her child(who is born at this time),and leaves her husband, for another man. Then, the husband is crying for her and wishes he could have a child of his own...
Thanks :) It makes sense now. What an interesting, sad song it is.
