Translation
I'm heading out to the countryside
I'm heading out to the village,
'cause I don't want
the city anymore,
'cause I don't want
the city anymore,
'cause I can't
bear it.
Green pine forests,
near the river,
a white farmhouse,
a white farmhouse
in the olive grove.
How it hurts me,
how much I've lost
for the treachery,
for the treachery
of the city.
[Chorus 1:]
I'm heading out to the countryside,
'cause I can't stand
the city anymore,
'cause I can't stand
the city anymore,
you can't even breathe.
[Chorus 2:]
I'm heading out to the village,
'cause I don't want
the city anymore,
'cause I don't want
the city anymore,
'cause I can't
bear it.
Reed beds,
almond flowers
white doves,
white doves
in the cote.
What's it worth to me
all that I have
without the hope,
without the hope
of going back?
(chorus 1&2)
I'm heading out to the countryside,
I'll pick up my game,
I'm going back to the nest,
I'm going back to the nest
of my verity.
After so much asphalt
the ground's burning me
I don't want the glamour,
I don't want the glamour
of the city.
(chorus 1&2)

regreso al nido > (I'm going) I return to the nest
I gave five stars to this translation in 2013, without realizing there was a mistake in the original, corrected today: "levanto el juego" = "levanto el vuelo", to be translated as, "I'm leaving this place/I'm flying away".
Evan (Evfokas) is no longer with us. His translation still deserves five stars.
