Short and easy song, but it always takes ability and style to do it well, and you got it!
I have two comments:
1.First stanza, second verse - "...the plantation yet again hear". Do you need that 'yet"? The original says, "...the plantation feels/hears again..."
2. "zambo = knock-kneed" is a direct translation. In this context, 'zambo" means mixture of black and indian. You can use the same word in English (zambo), or spell it with 's' (sambo).
Thank you for your work.
* = A "sambo" is a person of mixed African and Native American heritage.
