The lyrics have been updated. Besides formatting and orthographic corrections quite some other changes were made:
"Wer will das Licht doch nicht erschrecken"
-> "Will das Licht doch nicht erschrecken"
"Sieht einen Stern sie nicht prangen und fleht
Meine Schönheit auf die Wangen"
-> "Sieht einen Stern im Zwielicht prangen und fleht
Mal mir Schönheit auf die Wangen"
"Und so lief ich in den gestörten Himmel "
-> "und so
Rief ich in den gestirnten Himmel"

Just for your info, you need to provide an explanation of your rating if you give a translation below 5 stars.
And 1 star means "terrible, just like a machine translation. It’s so bad that it shouldn’t be published on this site."
I don't think that applies here.

It is close to machine translation (maybe worse!!).
He clearly did not know that "graut" is actually a conjugated verb.
[Sieht einen Stern im Zwielicht prangen und fleht: (Doesn't) she see a star resplendent and begs] Like really!! where did the negation come from!!?
I don't know, i might be wrong but read the translation and see for yourself if it is even right not only makes sense or not.
Do you really want me to list all the mistakes?
So maybe i am wrong and what is considered poor in this website is different from what a translator would consider poor.
Please let me know what exactly is wrong and i would gladly apologize if i turn out to be wrong

I agree that this one certainly isn't perfect - but a significant part of the mistakes I noticed are due to the lyrics having been changed in the meantime.
And I compared yours with it, and there are a bunch of mistakes in yours, some of which are not in this one. I'll leave you a comment there, I guess that's more productive than arguing about the quality of a translation by someone long gone. And given that you provided your own translation, that's explanation enough ^^
