זהו סיפור עצוב על ילד
אחר כך נער
היום כבר איש
הוא לא שמע קולם של אלה
שהזהירו הוא נשאר אדיש
הוא לא שמע מה שאמרו לו
לכן היום הוא בעסק ביש
 
אמרו לו שהחיים זה לא משחק
וקונצים פה אין
אמרו לו שהוא מוכרח להיות חזק
כי אוי לו למסכן

רמזו לו שיתבגר

Translation

They Told Him

This is a sad story about a boy
after some time a youth
today already a man
he didn't listen to the voices of those
that warned him, he remained apathetic
he didn't hear what they told him
therefore today he is in a bad way
 
The told him that life isn't a game
and there aren't any pranks here
told him that he had to be strong
because woe is for the weakling
told him that he should be practical already
hinted to him that he should grow up
so he didn't learn any lessons of life
and he doesn't have enough brains even to be sorry

a slightly sad and dreamy look

towards the red lily
 
They told him to concentrate on his studies

would come a sad end
