This song is Sakai Noriko highest selling song ever. Released in May 10, 1995, this song reached #5 in Oricon chart, but has a total accumulated sales of 997,380 copies (far surpassed some Oricon #1 ranked songs).

 

Every time she sing this song she'll use sign language in her choreography because this song is an OST of her drama where she played a mute character who use sign language.

This song earned her her first and only appeareance in Kohaku Uta Gassen in December 31, 1995:

^ (2:04) Nishimura Tomomi seems to also know sign language since decades ago and has already used it in coreography of her song. The video was from 1995, the same year as when "Aoi Usagi" was released.

Noriko is too good. She still has many good songs. 4 songs are not enough. Later after I finish my 100th song, I'll go back to upload and translating more of her songs. But I'll place the links not on usual place, but it'll be on upper left part on my profile page under the "interest" section, just like in here and here, because I don't wanna mess up the order of the 100 songs of my "retro idol translation series".

 

For now, let's move on to the next idol. I add her purely because of personal preference. Her looks is top-tier, her songs are catchy, she wasn't less than most top idols in most aspects....except maybe in opportunity and luck. An underrated idol who deserves to be bigger than she was... coming up next.
