뱁새 lyrics
- They call me 뱁새:
Crow-tit is referring to a small bird, with small legs representing smaller opportunity. Later, they refer to a stork which is a bigger bird with long legs. The smaller bird has less opportunity and is made to compete with the stork.
- 욕봤지 이 세대:
There is this downward glare towards newer generations who are breaking away from societal norms and expectations and seeking happiness, without the tight restrictions and regulations of previous social systems.
“욕봤지”, is literally “watch them swear”, and ‘세대" is “generation”, so it basically translates to “watch them curse this generation”.
- 상사들은 행패
언론에선 맨날 몇 포 세대:
J-Hope is demonstrating the contradiction that Korean social standards are based upon. He is suggesting that his “superiors use violence (against the young generation)” while “on the media, they say complain about how many more generations.” He’s inquiring why the older generation, or older brothers/ sisters in Korea, aren’t doing anything to actually assist development and are instead complaining and using violence for hedonistic reason.
- 걔넨 말하지 ‘내 다린 백만 불짜리’
내 게 짧은데 어찌 같은 종목 하니?
They say...:
