Translation
This cold Night
This night is cold
And the wind is blowing
through our land
and who still walks outside by now
is a poor fool
or on the way to his sweetheart
every trip is worth anyway
Ohhh
Open up,let me in
Your sweetheart is standing in the moonlight
This night is so cold
so open up
because tomorrow it will be too late
My father watches over house and farm
My door is locked with an iron lock
And i don't have the key for it
so there leads no way to me tonight
Ohhh
open up, let me in
Your sweetheart is standing in the moonlight
This night is so cold
so open up
because tomorrow it will be too late
But this night is so cold
finally she opens up on him
and she kisses her sweethearts cold forehead
This night is so cold
but she opens the door and he kisses her
seven times therefor
Ohhh
open up, let me in
your sweetheart is standing in the moonlight
this night is so cold
so open up
because tomorrow it will be too late
The morning has broken
And the wind blows through our land
but this girl lies in her sweethearts arm
and therefor she is so thankful to this cold night and the wind!

Hey there! This is a very beautiful song, I'm really glad I found it, and your translation really helped, so thanks for that!
One small suggestion, the word "therefor" is very old in English, and is almost obsolete today. It can easily be confused with "therefore" (which is pronounced identically), but the two have very different meanings, which may confuse some people, as I doubt the word "therefor" is known by a lot of people, especially young people.
If my understanding of the German lyrics is right, then some alternatives could be "seven times for it", or "seven times in return".
Once again, thanks for the translation :)
The line ordering on the first verse if a bit off, other than that - good translation.
