On My Knees for You

I want for myself your caresses.
Yes, I love you more than my life.

I will come back to you on my knees.
My other lover is no one
and nothing to me,
Now I know that
I have made a mistake with you,
I will come back to you on my knees.

And I will kiss your hands, love.
In your eyes
that have cried for me,
I will search
for forgiveness from you—
and I will kiss your hand, love.

I want for myself your caresses.
Yes, I love you more than my life.

......
......
I will search
for forgiveness from you—
and I will kiss your hand, love.

I will come back to you on my knees.
My other lover is no one
and nothing to me,
Now I know that
I have made a mistake with you,
I will come back to you on my knees.

Yes, I love you more than my life.
I want for myself your caresses.
Oh yes—I love you more than my life.

L’altra non è, non è niente per me. => The other is not, is nothing to me.
“Altra” is feminine and refers to the other girl in the protagonist’s life.

It would be true if you had written “my” other lover not “your”.
BTW do you have anything against commas?

None taken! Personally, I believe that punctuation marks are imperative for written language but I never use the em-dash and have seen it used very, very rarely.
What you now have, in Italian, translates to “La mia altra amante non è nessuno e niente per me” which states that the “other” was, in fact, a lover whereas she could very well have been just a friend.... but, I guess, to each his own.
