For God's Sake
For God's sake Algeria,1you are the soul's flower
I'm dreaming someday, love will be everywhere2 in the air
Happy people tells happy stories in your neighbourhoods
And they find peace in your heart
And you're blessed from enemies protected3
And we are between your hands see you like a bride
Then at your door, I can see clouds disappears
From your ground's grain,4 I wear the best suit
For God's sake, please, I beg you, I pray you
For God's sake Algeria, you are the soul's flower
I'm dreaming someday, love will be everywhere in the air
People can sleep and let their house's doors open
Why we need guardians! if we feel safe
And I can look in your eyes without shyness
Without I fear you or be worried about you
Then at your door, I can see clouds disappears
From your ground's grain, I wear the best suit
For God's sake, please, I beg you, I pray you
For God's sake Algeria, you are the soul's flower
I'm dreaming someday, love will be everywhere in the air
Our hearts reunite, no emigration nor rupture
And no war's smoke under our blue sky
And who has a dove, a grain of wheat satisfy her
And who has a dream, he can realise it (in the real world)
Then at your door, I can see clouds disappears
From your ground's grain, I wear the best suit
For God's sake, please, I beg you, I pray you
For God's sake Algeria, you are the soul's flower
That day should comes, so that love be everywhere in the air
I scream loudly with a strong word
Shuhada's5 bloods wasn't wasted for nothing
Whatever what we lived, saw, feared and disagreed
After your love left us, we are lovers again
Then at your door, I can see clouds disappears
From your ground's grain, I wear the best suit
For God's sake, please, I beg you, I pray you
- 1. This song was released in 1996 so in the middle of what we call Black Decade (90s), the song tell the wishes/dreams of all Algerian people at this time. Meanings in this song are so deep, and author use an indirect language
- 2. and in this song : metaphors .. metaphors everywhere
literary: love's perfume is everywhere - 3. literary: and you {have a Khamsa }/{wear a Khamsa} protect you from envious
Khamsa means five (5), a pendant of an open hand, so five finger. In Algerian's myths that pendant can protect you from envious.
Coincidentally, that pendant is Khaled's Logo here is on the cover of Nssi Nssi album (under the window) - 4. your production
- 5. plural of Martyr in Islam religion. He means 1.5 million martyr of Algerian War (1954-1962)
