Translation

Singing Nowruz

In my heart (imagination), I knocked a piece of wood1, O the changer of hearts (start of a common Arabic pray for Nowruz)
Again this year you gave a great ride, next year give a good mood
Bring the sprint season after the night and the days
Make the branches of trees heavy for I craving for pomegranate

Garlic coin vinegar and garlic2, Show maker pilgrim
Let's sit around the table, waiting for the prayers of the old man

Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious
Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious

After the prayers of the old man in my heart (imagination), I tell myself
God, I don't lack anything, my stomach is filled, I don't have any sorrow
Even if I have business and stress, the sound of Ali is the solution
My father hit me on the head and said "My son, go bring the tea"
God, don't give me the bare minimum but don't give me more either
Because I don't have the potential of being rich, a lot of wealth is bad for me

Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious
Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious

God, just a small favor, please commend
Izrael (the angel of death) this year be lazier in his work
So the people in this gathering, together, the next year, away from sadness,
with horns and Karna, we sing from each other

Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious
Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious
Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious
Ay, Nowruz, it's Nowruz, It's always victorious

  • 1. A way of keeping bad omen away
  • 2. Common contenders for a "7-Sins Table" (not as in English "sin" but rather "es" like 'S'). Persians put 7 items which start with with a "Sin" in Persian language, each representing a symbol. Serke (Vinegar), Sir (Garlic) are the two he mentions here.
