Meet Me Where The River Turns Grey

Sarcophagus II

(Point me a tone, right, point me a tone, right)
(Point me a tone, right dead at ya dome, fool)
(Point me a tone, right dead at ya dome, fool)
(Point me a tone, right, point me a tone, right)
(Point me a tone, right dead at ya dome, fool)
(Point me a tone, right, point me a tone, right)
(Point me a tone, right dead at ya dome, fool)
(Easy come, easy go, easy come, easy go) (Run that shit, mane...)
($ui, $ui, $carecrow, $ui)
($carecrow, $ui, $ui, Grey)
('Bout to fucking—)

Run up on a fucking pussy, kill him like nobody love 'em
Grabbin' the shovel, wrap him in bubbles
Schizophrenic lunatic, cold-hearted motherfucker
Run your mouth, bitch, run your mouth
All these fuckin' rappers front, talking shit behind your back
They shake your hand, then hit the blunt
You see the difference with me?
I grew up with the Gs in the West Bank streets
Running drugs up on my bike when I was just thirteen
Every day another fight, but I was scared to bleed
You beat my ass? You better kill me, I'll return with the fleet
Cut 'em, gun 'em down and nothing, beat the case in a week
If nobody do no snitching, they ain't got shit on me
Walking free, while you dead covered up in a sheet, bitch (Murder, murder, mo' murder, mo'-)

Pull up wit' da motherfuckin' Tec, pull up wit' da motherfuckin' Mac
Pull up wit' da motherfucking sack full of green
What you mean you ain't gon' smoke this shit with me?
I smack a rapper with the backhand, then tell him to get his own P
What you know about me, hoe? Grey is what I be
I got Ramirez in the cut, and he stay ready to cut, yeah bitch
I got Christ in the cut with the shotty pumpin' and ducking
I got Navi, I got Blackout, I got SixFo, I got Stunna
Now what the fuck you wanna do? I just gotta call up a number

Think about a murder, reppin' triple six is unheard of
Stalking through the fuckin' night, and killin' these bustas
So, what's heard of?
$lick is grippin' on the Mossberg, Oddy on the Tec-9
Run ya mouth, I'll bust your spine and end your motherfuckin' life
Got these bodies floating where the river turns grey
Fuckin' with the *59? The bullets from my new robbery gettin' sprayed
Suckin', duckin', grippin' on my motherfucking tone
Punch you in the fucking face, stab ya brain with your nose bone

(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right dead at ya dome fool)
(Point me a tone right dead at ya dome fool)
(Easy come, easy go, easily I shoot you hoe)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right dead at ya dome fool)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right)
(Easy come, easy go, easily I shoot you hoe)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right dead at ya dome fool)
(Point me a tone right dead at ya dome fool)
(Easy come, easy go, easily I shoot you hoe)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right dead at ya dome fool)
(Point me a tone right)
(Point me a tone right)
(Easy come, easy go, easily I shoot you hoe)

Annotations

(Point me a tone, right, point me a tone, right) ...: Sampled from M.C. Mack’s track “EZ Come, EZ Go”, the same sample that was featured in part one and two of the boys' and Ramirez' “Sarcophagus” series.

This sample may sound familiar—the song was featured in the 2013 video game GTA V, appearing on the radio station “blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM”.

$carecrow: $crim alter ego.

Run your mouth, bitch, run your mouth All these ...: $crim calls out the facade that popular but often-disingenuous wave of young rappers express in their music, but in fact, fake a “hoodlum” lifestyle and act braver or tougher than they may truly be. The meaning of the slang “front” echoes this, it means to put on airs, to put up a façade, to act fake or phony, or to misrepresent oneself.

$crim then calls out the people—who he believes to be trustworthy—but in actual fact are figuratively attacking him his back is turned, this is explored in 2017 track “PLANTING THE ROOTS ONLY TO FALL OUT THE TREE,” where $crim says:

"Crazy how friends switch it, asking how they can get a picture What happened to “What’s up homie? How ya doing? Goddamn, I miss ya"

I grew up with the Gs in the West Bank streets: “West Bank” refers to the area in New Orleans, Louisiana where the Mississippi River divides N.O. into eastern and western halves. “G” stands for ‘gangster’, or meaning friend or associate.

Both Ruby and $crim grew up in New Orleans for all their life, and the streets there have been crime-ridden for years, which $crim references in the next line. He alludes to this in an interview with Genius in 2017.

"I was a product of my environment where I grew up. Seeing people with guns and shanking people. I got shanked myself, when I was 12. It was a regular thing."

Running drugs up on my bike when I was just ...: $crim reminisced on this time in an interview with XXL in 2017.

"I was running drugs on my bike when I was 13 for this neighborhood dope dealer. One night, I was dropping a package off like I usually do, when all the lights shut off and two people came from behind me with one having a shank. One had a razor—the kind you push up and shanked me at my side. They took all the dudes dope."

Both Ruby and $crim grew up in New Orleans for all their life, and ever since Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, it caused ruinous destruction to New Orleans, and with no money, $crim had to turn to drug dealing and robbing just to get money. He has referenced this multiple times before.

This is a stark contrast to the later 2017 track “Introversion 2.0” where $crim recollects on a time where he was still selling drugs at a later age of 18, but moved on to robbing and stealing before making $uicideboy$ in 2013.

"Got a heart so cold, remember selling dope Remember selling coke, DEA pulled me over Plain cars, plain clothes I didn’t bend an inch, I’m strictly sticking to the code Few years ago was masked up, robbing stores Set ‘em up on Craigslist, then robbed 'em at the door"

Tec: TEC-9

The Intratec TEC-9, TEC-DC9, KG-99 and AB-10 are a line of blowback-operated semi-automatic pistols. They were developed by Intratec, an American subsidiary of the Swedish firearms manufacturer Interdynamic AB. Introduced in 1984, the TEC-9 was made of inexpensive molded polymers and a mixture of stamped and milled steel parts. The simple design of the gun made it easy to repair and modify. It was a commercial success, with over 250,000 being sold.

Mac: MAC-10

The Military Armament Corporation Model 10, officially abbreviated as "M10" or "M-10",[5] and more commonly known as the MAC-10, is a compact, blowback operated machine pistol/submachine gun that was developed by Gordon B. Ingram in 1964. It is chambered in either .45 ACP or 9mm. A two-stage suppressor by Sionics was designed for the MAC-10, which not only abates the noise created but makes it easier to control on full automatic (although it also makes the gun far less compact and concealable).

Pull up wit' da motherfucking sack full of ...: Continues the “pull up” scheme, but resolves it in a even 4 beat/bar manner as opposed to the 2 bars before being triplets, which is continued and elongated with “ get his own P”

Ruby is incensed that he would arrive with a large sack of marijuana and someone wouldn’t indulge with him, so he will smack him and tell him to get his own (pound(s)? )

sack full of green: For blunt, heroin, marijuana etc.

I got Ramirez in the cut, and he stay ready to cut...: The names here are the names that make up G*59.

Mossberg: MOSSBERG 500

Ruby says $crim carries a shotgun and that's what he's talking about.

The Mossberg 500 (M500) is a series of pump action shotguns manufactured by O.F. Mossberg & Sons.[1] The 500 series comprises widely varying models of hammerless repeaters, all of which share the same basic receiver and action, but differ in bore size, barrel length, choke options, magazine capacity, stock and forearm materials. Model numbers included in the 500 series are the 500, 505, 510, 535, and 590. The Revelation 310 and the New Haven 600 were also variations of the 500 series produced by Mossberg under different names. By 2021, 11,000,000 M500s had been produced, making it the most-produced shotgun of all time.

Grey: Grey*59, $B's label.

but I was scared to bleed: $crim was stabbed at a young age. There is a reference here both metaphorically and physically.

(Murder, murder, mo' murder, mo'-): $uicideboy$ - Sunshine reference.
