Moon Tanned

All tanned, sunburned
With red skins, a little bit purple
It's the girls that bathe in the Sun
But there is this one girl
Who bathes in the moon.

She got moon tanned
She got a milk-colored tan
All through the night on the roof
On the roof just like the cats
And if the full moon is out
You become shiny

She got moon tanned
She got a milk-colored tan
That makes your skin white
That makes you stand out among the beautiful ones
And if the full moon is out
You become shiny

Tin-tin-tin, rays of moonlight
Tin-tin-tin, kiss you
No one else in the world
Shines as much as you

She got moon tanned
She got a milk-colored tan
All through the night on the roof
On the roof just like the cats
And if the full moon is out
You become shiny

Tin-tin-tin, rays of moonlight
Tin-tin-tin, kiss you
No one else in the world
Shines as much as you

She got moon tanned
She got a milk-colored tan
All through the night on the roof
On the roof just like the cats
And if the full moon is out
You become shiny

And if the full moon is out
You become shiny
And if the full moon is out
You become shiny, shiny, shiny

[from Latin candidus white, from candēre to be white

The idea of the song is that the more exposure to the moon the whiter the girl gets..... therefore: not a candidate, but more "candida" or "white." Also, not "tan-colored milk" but rather "milk-colored tan:" the girl's "tan" is not tan at all but white as milk.

I'm glad to shine some light on a favorite song of mine. How about "Prendi una mattita" !!!!!!!!! That's a charming song with a sweet lyric. ED
