A good start is always selecting the languages you speak in your profile. Do you speak Kabyle, English and French?
The original Kabyle lyrics displayed by this website are incomplete (the "ya lala ya lalala" bridges are missing) and quite approximate =/. Sniff sniff
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭 : the verses of this lullaby describe ancient Kabyle households during harsh winters, while the chorus refers to a Kabyle fairy tale. A wise man and his little daughter lived once in a forest haunted by a shape-shifting ogre. The man was under a spell and doomed to never leave his house. His daughter, who did not lack valour, had to venture deep into the forest to bring food. Whenever she returned home, she had to make her silver bracelets tinkle so that her father could recognize her before opening the door. But the ogre was deceitful : he made bracelets from shells, then posed as the daughter and finally devoured her father 😢.
