Translating Italian LITERALLY, doesn't really work, especially in song lyrics! You have to translate the MEANING and not just the words. My translation is much closer to the MEANING of the original lyric and the sentiment contained and it allows people to "get" the song in English, compare this translation and the literal one and see which one makes sense!
