1. سوختن و ساختن (sookhtan o sākhtan) is a Persian idiom. The literal meaning is 'to get burned and put up with it'. It means to suffer and endure troubles or pains without complaining/in a stoical manner. The similar idioms in English are 'Biting the bullet'/'To grin and bear it'.
Here, the two verbs have been used separately, so I translated each one separately, as well.
