Baghdad

Once again, except loving you,
I could not do anything today
My phone kept ringing
Never mind, didn't look at it today

Neither I read the newspaper, nor listened to the news
I restricted all the troubles from entering my mind today
How many kisses there have been, you'll never know
Today, I calculated how long it has been since I loved you
(It's been) Exactly 3 months and 1 day from yesterday night

I could be the world's biggest lover
I could stay on your chest for hundreds and thousands of years
I might not know any Leyla or Majnoon or Farhad or Asli or Karem
but...
I can find Baghdad with both my eyes closed

Being able to reach Baghdad means being able to do something that requires really hardwork.
There is a turkish proverb "sora sora bağdat bulunur" which literally means , after asking and asking people, you will eventually find Baghdad. Baghdad referred to a far off place.
Doing something with one's eyes closed means being able to do something very easily.
I hope that helped a bit :)

Here in Ukraine we have the same proverb with the same meaning, but about Kiev, funny

Well it doesn't have any literal meaning here. It's a proverb :)
You may think of its meaning here as "I can face any challenge that comes in my way single handedly".

She never said that she never thought about love. Instead she's telling that she hasn't done anything other than loving him .. read the lyrics carefully :)

"91 days before, I promised myself not to love you again... but it's the same day today (e.g Tuesday).. and I can't do anything but to love you i.e. I broke the promise that I made myself that I'd never love you again" .. I hope that's a bit clear

(Dün Geceyle Tam Üç Ay Bir Gün)

with yesterday night it's will be 3 months and a day done
"or"
with yesterday night become a complete 3 months and a day

Isn't it possible that one single word in a language can mean more than one things in some other language and that's not even just one or two words; it's a complete song for crying out loud. Just try to open up your mind upto like millimeter and accept the possibility that this song can have more than one meaning. If you don't like this version of translation, add a new one, add as many of them as you like.

Still don't get it? Fine..
Try to go through some poetry of your own language. What makes it more special is something having dual or even more than two meanings.
For instance this one verse from a sonnet of "Monin Khan Momin" was declared the best verse of the oriental poetry in the whole Nineteenth century "تم مرے پاس ہوتے ہو گویا جب کوئی دوسرا نہیں ہوتا" .. Do you know why?

It's such a simple line. Apparently anyone could say such thing but this verse has dual meaning and both the meanings are like 180 degrees from each other....(Mirza Ghalib, one of the great poets of the 19th Century, said: If only I could write this one verse and not write anything at all)
That made it more special. So, before shutting up your mind to multiple possibilities, just go through some poetry, literature, or history

The world is more than just Boolean logic. If something doesn't seem true to you it doesn't mean that it has to be false. Try not to impose your will on everyone.

PS the lyrics say "Yasakladım" so I translated that accordingly..
If there is something wrong with the lyrics, don't blame the translation !!

Dear saga!
Please take into account that our voting system is intended primarily for correcting grammar mistakes in translation.
And from that point of view your vote is absolutely unjust. Even if the translator understood the meaning of the song wrongly (especially if he had translated wrong lyrics without any idea that it was wrong) it is a weak reason for 1 star voting.
That's why as a moderator I ask you to remove your voice. Your variant of the translation and your comment is quite enough to solve the problem you have mentioned.

Please read our recommendations for voting: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/faq#faq81

I've unpublished the second comment, because it was almost the same as the first one. If you wish to correct something in your comment press the "edit" link in the top right corner of the comment's block.

kankaaa üzgünüm ama yukarıdaki yorumlardan birinde yer alan çeviri daha doğru gibi... :)

mesela bed: yatak ama şarkıda "koynunda" diyor.

koynunda: in your chest (or actually "bosom") ;)
