One more suggestion about the flute. I would just say "little reed flute," and leave out the grass part. Otherwise, though, a very good translation.
Readers/listeners might like to know about the composers. They are Los Cuates Castilla, twin brothers who not only compose wondrous huapangos, but also sing, accompanying themselves with their guitars. They can be seen on Youtube performing some of their compositions.
