The Princess and the Frog is a 2009 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Inspired in part by the 2002 novel The Frog Princess by E. D. Baker, the story is a modern adaptation of the German folk tale "The Frog Prince" as collected by the Brothers Grimm

Plot: New Orleans 1912. A woman tells her daughter, Tiana, and her daughter's friend (the wealthy and spoiled Charlotte La Bouff), the story about the frog prince. Charlotte thinks it's a romantic story, while Tiana proclaims that she would never kiss a frog. Years pass, and Tiana becomes a beautiful young woman working two jobs so she can save money to start her own restaurant, her father's dream.
