She had bigger boobs when she was younger, but it seems she had them reduced recently.

https://lyricstranslate.com/hr/monika-ivki%C4%87-lyrics.html On the LT profile picture you can't see her boobs to much but in this video yes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75wTWc3vr7Q. A little info of her: She is a Bosnian Croat well known singer, in Serbia and Bosnia. She was worn in Bosnia, in Gradačac . She has also Austrian origins and she speaks German, fluently. She moved to Austria and she left the school and decided to pursue a career as a singer. She has acted in several German TV popular shows. One of her songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgYTyQObssI had, and still have, controversy comments due to it's similarities with Christina Aguilera's song, "Candyman". Despite of that, this song is her most successful single.

Why the hell is this a thing

Funny you should ask...
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/unknown-artist-chevrons-ochi-lyrics.html

I don't speak Ukrainian. I'm asking why it's necessary for there to be a collection of female singers purely based on their bodies.

And the answer is in this song where he sings of the girl’s beautiful eyes and the last verse is that he won’t sleep a day or night without thinking of her...beautiful eyes.
It’s what we call objectification, but one must retain a sense of humor to survive. I do still wish for a DISLIKE button... lol.

I suppose my sense of humour doesn’t revolve around objectification and covert misogyny, but each to their own.

This isn’t a “discussion” this is Collection created based on women’s bodies. Not sure how calling misogyny for what it is will lead us to picking up rifles. Seems more like you just want to deflect and keep pretending everything’s fine and dandy.

Too mild

So we enjoy sexism then? Great to know

Already done so x

Would you mind explaining how this collection is sexist? It doesn't make fun of people's bodies or make of them objects. It also doesn't belittle their singing abilities, so I honestly do not see/understand where this is sexist.
I'm pretty sure Admins will agree with it, specially because it doesn't break our golden rule, nor has any comment here been even at the slightest offensive and aimed to ridicularize big-breasted women. Take it easier.

I would really love to know where too actually.

It does make them objects and is therefore sexist because it reduces them to their breasts. It isn’t at all about their singing ability or any other similarity - it’s about their bodies, more specifically the sexual organs of their bodies.
Moustaches, muscles etc are not accurate nor equal comparisons because:
1) they are not male sexual organs
2) men are not sexualised as often and widely as women, especially not from young ages, nor are men reduced to their bodies as often and widely as women
3) the sexualisation of men has no prevalent societal consequences (rape, sexual abuse, objectification, misogynistic rhetoric etc)
4) women have more sense than to create collections of singers on lyrics translation sites based on sexualising their bodies
I’d love to take it easy but living as a woman and constantly being reduced to your body takes it’s toll after a while :) maybe men should change :) then I can take it easy :)

As a man, I can guarantee to you that we are sexualized, of course not as much as women. There are people who compare penis size to sexual prowess in teenage and adulthood (even at the moment a boy is born - yes, I've seen that and that is one of the things that annoys me the most). Not to mention stupid comments aimed at a newborn male baby like *Oh, he'll score with all the girls* and *Oh, I'd better guard my sheep as the wolf is on the run* (this is a problematic comment because it compares people to animals). By saying a woman is big-breasted, I see no threat of rape or gender based violence. A man would need to have serious issues to have any kind of arousement over a collection of 'Top Heavy Female Singers'. But maybe it's a cultural thing.
I take the collection description quite humorously, all I'd change is the picture that accompanies it. And from what I've seen all men who have participated in the discussion also take it like that - and even a few girls, it seems...

Confusing sexual organs with sex appeal, won't even waste my time answering =)

I left a second this LT collection and when I come back, I found all this "anti-sexism section" Please, tell to this lady, who was born in the 94 in Bosnia about the horrible act of raping women, where do you see that could be an “invitation“to do anything what you have enumerated. Those things are horrible! Here, no one is talking about any of the items you enumerate: rape, violations... Serious words, ma'am. It's just a collection. If a man has any kind of fantasy about those "heavy woman" ok, please sir go to psychology section. Well... no, better we should say some things you enumerated must be punished. In that case, it's not a huge offense to take it so seriously :)
It's true that depending on the context can be offensive and punishable and I'm agree on that case to stop it but here the situation is completely different. If you are talking about this situation, for e.g; On the one side, a girl on the street on the other, a boy or man or whatever saying to the innocent lady: "Waaao what a big boobs I want to taste it" Then, my friend, I will go with you to complain the great supreme court. But, here, it is not necessary to invoke them ;) Is just a collection of "heavy" woman but it's meaning of it is completely different from my example or your comment.
I have listened, as a teen, ladies saying sexist comments about boy's penis; teens who compare penis size to sexual prowess and said to each other: He would not work, his "thing" is too small" this kind of things also we can complain to the supreme court shouldn't we? Isn't offensive? Yes, it is. O comments like: with this penis he will f* all the school girls...
I invite you to take this collection with humorously, as I did. Life - we have one, so we should be happy instead of being angry. We can't create a collection of Top singers with huge penis :D if we can, for sure someone would have created it, a long time ago :D

Pierre, do you remember that
discussion from March 2019 started by Tanya? It seems we all came to a consensus that censorship is not useful.

Well, maybe girls (and boys who like boys, of course) who use the website could join each other and create a 'Hunks' collection with male singers they find extremely charming and/or aesthetically pleasing. Life is already tough out there with covid, social distancing, et al, why don't we try and keep LT at least out of this dark world?

if you want to see objectification of women in perfection, i recommend cairo or alexandria. I'll pay your flight if you'll post a video of yourself walking around there alone for 30 minutes in jeans and with your hair open. having said that. I can already sense this remarkable collection is going the way of all of lyricstranslate. but at least we have a winner. Eva. nice job for shutting it down. you'll probably even get a badge for that.
now please, i have other things to do. feminizm has been exposed to be in the final stages of its death cramps, and after an entire generation has been turned into transsexuals we will probably return to the way it always has been, and always will. because a little bird has told me that even a divine and just creature like you has been conceived by a man and a woman. and before he picked her. he took a good look and said "dayumm brotha, look at the undercarriage on that unit"..

[@BlackSea4ever] After the 3rd lady I tought I won't be surprised. I've never been so wrong... The guy thought the same as me, as I can see... 😁 His "Waaaaoooo" scream when he saw the 4rth lady defines everything 😂😂

FYI: I took the matter for discussion among Moderators. As a team with people from different cultures, upbringings and with different lives from one another, I think it will be important to hear from them. I kept Admins out of it because from what I've seen there are only 3 of them and they all come from the same place (and we do not know anything else about them), different from the 15+ active Mods at the moment. Not mentioned Editors because at least 3 of them also seem to agree that this collection is not problematic. After private discussion among the team, if Admins and we decide to, we can bring it to general discussion.
