بدري من السابعة الصبح أنا بصحى انظف

بكنس البيت كده وابقى ابتديت تنظيف

بلمع فيه بمسح ارض وبشطف

بعد ما زيد مسح وعيد مرتين لا ميتين

ساعتها بقرا كتاب ورواية او اشعار

وارسملي رسمتين او لوحة على الجدار

بلعب غيتار واعمل تريكو واطبخ واحتار

واقول انا امتى بقى هعيش

بحل لغز وبخبز بسكوت اكتر

مسرحيات ورقص باليه وألعاب

بعمل كمان خزف وشمع ينور

كمان تمارين او تلوين او فستان لباسكال

وبعدها بقرا كتاب ولو في وقت كمان

برسم تاني عالحيط واكيد راح الاقي مكان

وبسرح شعري كتير يبقى زي الحرير

وافضل هنا دايما متشعلقة

وبقول امتى وامتى وامتى وامتى

امتى بقى هعيش

وبكره بالليل النور راح يبان

زي ما بشوف عيد ميلادي من زمان

ياريتني اشوف شكله ايه لو مسموح

Translation

When will I start living?

Early in the morning at seven, I wake up to clean

I sweep the house and it is how I started cleaning

I polish it, clean the floor and rinse it

After I wash some more, and do it twice or two hundred times

Afterwards, I read a book, a novel or poems

And I draw two drawings or a painting on the wall

I play the guitar, knit and I pause in doubt

And I say: "when will I live?"

I solve a puzzle and I bake some more cookies

Plays, ballet and games

I also do pottery and candles which lighten

Also exercises or painting or a dress for Pascal

Afterwards, I read a book if I have some time left

I draw again on the wall and I will surely find a place

And I brush my hair many times so that it becomes like silk

And I will always stay in here hanging about

And I say: "when, when, when, when

When will I live?"

And tomorrow in the night, the light will appear

The way I have seen my birthday for a long time

If only I could see how it looks like, if it were permitted

And mom might let me go
