    Careful Wanderer

Listening to Karen Dalton at midnight
To try and soothe my soul
Sitting on the bed, staring at the wall
Too much has caught up with me
Until the stomach churned
I could hardly see the ground pulled from underneath

Oh, careful wanderer
Take a stroll beyond the fence
I thought I was never to return again
But silence is a virtue
And it heals me with its truth
Untangle this reckless heart
And let it make new roots

Just a Little Bit of Rain
Earths the room with its joyful melancholy
Haven't been able to eat much
While I let my mind settle down
Digest it bit by bit
Slowly does the fog roll off
Small bites and gentle steps
The food I needed for so very long

Oh, careful wanderer
Take a stroll beyond the fence
I thought I was never to return again
But silence is a virtue
And it heals me with its truth
Untangle this reckless heart
And let it make new roots

Let myself be mistreated
Just to numb the sorrow
Now I let it fall away
Regain the strength to follow
The thoughts I need to be strong
The hopeful melodies of song

Careless wanderer
Take a stroll beyond the fence
I thought I was never to return again
But silence is a virtue
And it heals me with its truth
Untangle this reckless heart
And let it make new roots
